About me and my story!
Blooming After Darkness: Finding Light After Darkness.
My name is Kelly, and I'm a single mama to three beautiful souls, navigating life after a separation in 2021 after 16 years, which ultimately led to a divorce in 2024. For many years, I lived with a persistent hum of anxiety that I didn't fully understand. Looking back, the signs were clear: constantly feeling responsible for others' emotions, habitually prioritizing everyone else's needs above my own, and experiencing deep-seated guilt that surfaced without reason. This pattern of people-pleasing and self-neglect gradually took its toll, culminating in a formal diagnosis of anxiety in 2021. While the diagnosis gave a name to my struggles, these patterns had been shaping my experiences for a significant period, and the weight of undiagnosed and unmanaged anxiety became overwhelming. I found myself struggling in ways that impacted my daily life, relationships, and overall well-being.
This difficult period, however, became the catalyst for profound change. My mother suffered from mental health struggles throughout the majority of my childhood, and more recently, in 2022, my father also began to suffer. Witnessing both of my parents grapple with their own mental health challenges further fueled my desire to understand and heal. It was through navigating my own struggles, seeking understanding, and actively working towards healing that the vision for "Blooming After Darkness" began to take root. In 2025, this vision became a reality.
"Blooming After Darkness" was born from a deep desire to share the insights and tools that helped me navigate my own journey with anxiety, and to offer a path that I wish had been more readily available to my family and me. The core of this endeavor is a carefully developed course, thoughtfully designed to offer guidance, support, and practical strategies for individuals who may be facing similar challenges. This comprehensive course covers five vital topics: anxiety, depression, self-love, habits, and sleep.
My hope is that through "Blooming After Darkness," I can help others recognize the signs of anxiety, break free from the cycle of guilt and people-pleasing, prioritize their own well-being, and ultimately, cultivate a life where they can truly bloom, even after periods of darkness. This isn't just a course; it's a testament to the possibility of growth, resilience, and finding light even after the most challenging of times.
As a mom, working on myself isn't just about my own well-being; it's a profound act of love for my children. By finding my own light and healing, I can model resilience, self-care, and the importance of mental health, giving them a foundation for a brighter future than I had
